The Travels of Taiyz February 7
Domo~! Taizu desu!…Or something like that.
Anyway, I’ve arrived at AnimeBlogger.net to show everyone what I’m up to in the world of anime and gaming. I could go more in depth about interests, but I wouldn’t want to bore everyone.
I have a wide variety of interests on the subject at hand. Since a young age I’ve had an interest in Japanese culture, and unlike most, my interest in anime came after. Saw a bit of Speed Racer as a kid, moved onto Pokemon, Digimon and the like, eventually I got up to stuff like Inu-Yasha, and eventually into fansubs (starting with Naruto) and just after, DVD releases starting with Get Backers and Spiral. I like anime primarily, but manga and light novels also can hold my interest.
I’m also a gamer; I like Japanese RPGs, action and adventure games. A couple strategies here and there, and I have an interest in MMORPGs as well. I play Guild Wars currently, I’m going to get Phantasy Star Universe sooner or later (online play may come later…) and I might try out World of Warcraft sometime. Who knows; Guild Wars is my kind of game, MMO-wise. Once I get around to buying Factions I’ll be posting my progress through the game; it’ll be…On-topic, you’ll see. =D
Education-wise, I’m working towards becoming a computer programmar. Vague for now, but I’ll have to wait and see the kinds of work I can get after studying in Computer Science or Software Engineering streams. I’m also learning Japanese outside of classes…Learning is kind of a half-assed way of saying “I’m watching anime and actually picking up the nuances of the language while checking out stuff on Wikipedia sometimes.” I have an interest in the language and can actually pick it up easier than my “second” language (French; I’m Canadian) so I’d say it’s worthwhile to pursue.
As for obsessions? I like to pay attention to voice actors. In English, I’m a fan of Johnny Yong Bosch, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Yuri Lowenthal…Followed by Kari Wahlgren, Vic Mignogna and J. Shannon Weaver as a second place group.
In Japanese? Tomokazu Seki all the way. That guy is simply amazing; I’ve been known to watch some series’ because he plays a lead role. For instance, Groove Adventure Rave…Akane Maniax…Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge…All of which turned out to be total laugh riots, though my favourite so far is History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi which I will be covering in the blog.
Anyway, that’s enough of an introduction…I’m not even sure anyone would WANT to read this much about me. See ya ’round, and expect some real activity once my perfectionist nature gets the side-bar to the right perfected.
