According to Guild Wiki…
The names of the characters Keiichi, Rena, and Shion, found in Lion’s Arch during the Canthan New Year 2007 are from the anime Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
Like most characters from the series itself, I went to dig up some information on the situation. Seriously; Guild Wars references stuff from The Knights who say Ni (Nian, this time) to the Colbert Report…But a Japan-only visual novel phenomenon?
I may not be like Tomitake-san, but I took this as proof of my encounter with the trio.
